Three layouts for transaction documents

Choose A4, 58 mm or 80 mm for the Way You Present a Sale

Salelog prepares supported transaction documents in A4, 58 mm and 80 mm layouts. Download the PDF, then use printing or sharing capabilities available on the device.

The right width depends on the content, paper and printer you already use.

Generate all three layouts from a realistic sale and run a print test.

  1. Use A4 for a roomier document.

  2. Use 58 mm or 80 mm for compact layouts.

  3. Keep the PDF digital or send it to an available printer.

One page cannot simply be shrunk to every width

Reducing an A4 page until it fits narrow paper can make text and totals unreadable. A compact layout has to reorganize information rather than only scale it. Salelog provides separate presentations for A4, 58 mm and 80 mm.

A4 supports longer detail and filing. The 80 mm format has more horizontal room among compact options, while 58 mm fits narrower paper with less space for product names.

How to test the equipment you own

  1. Confirm the paper width supported by the printer.
  2. Record a sale with several items and long names.
  3. Generate the corresponding PDF layout.
  4. Inspect the preview and scaling settings.
  5. Print and check margins, contrast, wrapping and cut position.

A printer advertised as Bluetooth does not behave identically with every phone. The operating system, manufacturer app and driver remain part of compatibility.

Printing is optional

The PDF can also be shared digitally. For some businesses that reduces paper and makes the document easier to retrieve; for others a compact printed copy remains useful at the counter or event. The format choice should follow the actual customer and operational need.

Fix the sale before fixing the layout

A polished document cannot repair an incorrect quantity or price. Review the source transaction and business details first. After a correction, generate a new PDF and make clear which version is current.

Format and printing questions

Does Salelog connect directly to every thermal printer?

The main flow creates a PDF and relies on system printing or sharing. Compatibility depends on the device, operating system, driver and printer app.

What is the difference between 58 mm and 80 mm?

An 80 mm layout has more horizontal room for item names and values. A 58 mm layout is narrower and requires more compact wrapping. Match the format to supported paper.

Can I share without printing?

Yes. Save or share the PDF through available applications when a digital document is preferable.

Test before making a format standard

Use long names and several line items, then verify margins, scaling and readability on your actual equipment.
