Three formats for presenting a transaction

Choose A4, 58 mm or 80 mm for the Way the Customer Receives the Sale

Salelog generates supported documents in A4, 58 mm and 80 mm layouts. Download the PDF and use the operating system's print or share options.

The right layout depends on content, paper width, driver and the printer already in use.

Generate every format from a realistic sale and perform a print test.

  1. Use A4 where more detail and space are useful.

  2. Use 58 mm or 80 mm for compact presentation.

  3. Keep the file digital when printing is unnecessary.

Narrow paper needs a purpose-built layout

Shrinking an A4 page until it fits a narrow roll makes text hard to read. Compact formats need a different arrangement rather than simple scaling. Salelog provides separate A4, 58 mm and 80 mm presentations.

A4 offers room for detail. Of the compact widths, 80 mm gives product names and values more space; 58 mm suits narrower paper with more wrapping.

Test the complete printing chain

Confirm the printer’s paper width. Create a sale with several products and long descriptions. Generate the matching PDF, inspect the preview and print it. Check margins, scaling, wrapping, contrast and cut position.

Bluetooth on the product box does not guarantee the same behaviour on every phone. Operating system, driver and manufacturer app all affect compatibility.

Printing is a choice, not a requirement

A digital PDF can be sent through an available channel and found again later. Paper may remain useful at a market stall or counter. Choose the method that fits the customer instead of printing by default.

Correct the transaction first

A polished layout cannot repair a wrong quantity or selling price. Amend the source operation and generate a fresh PDF. Make the current version clear if an earlier one was already saved.

Printing questions

Does Salelog directly support every thermal printer?

The main workflow produces a PDF and relies on system print services. Compatibility depends on the device, driver and manufacturer application.

How do 58 mm and 80 mm differ?

An 80 mm layout has more horizontal space for product names and values. The 58 mm version is narrower and wraps content more aggressively.

Can I send the document without printing?

Yes. The PDF can be stored or shared digitally through applications available on the device.

Test the printer before standardising

Use several lines and long names, then check scaling, margins, contrast and cutting on the real equipment.
